New Year’s Eve Yacht Party in Dubai

Dubai sees the new year in from the water. At midnight the fireworks go up from Burj Al Arab, Atlantis The Palm and Bluewaters at the same time, and a yacht anchored off Jumeirah or the Palm has all three in one sweep of the horizon, with the Marina skyline lit behind. The crowds on the beaches are a long way away. On board it is your guests, your music and your table: a private New Year cruise, not a ticketed one.

Seven Yachts charters the whole yacht, never a shared deck. The Dubai fleet runs from 54 to 200 feet, for 8 guests up to 100, and most of it is berthed at Dubai Harbour between Bluewaters and the Palm, so the run out to the viewing area takes minutes. A New Year’s Eve yacht charter is priced per yacht for the night rather than by the hour: a minimum of five to six hours, usually from nine or ten in the evening until one or two, the crew, and the fireworks position. The standard hourly rates on each yacht below show the scale; the price for the night we confirm in writing.

The evening runs to a pattern. Board at Dubai Harbour, cruise the Marina and along JBR as the towers come on, dinner under way, then the captain anchors well before midnight in the viewing area set for the night and holds the yacht there for the show. Afterwards most parties stay out for an hour or two and come back in once the water has cleared. Dinner from a private chef or a catering partner, bar service, a DJ and sound system, decorations, a cake and a photographer are all arranged through us; tell us what you want on board and it goes into the one price.

New Year’s Eve is the one night the Dubai fleet sells out. The larger yachts for 50 to 100 guests go first; the 8 to 20 guest yachts hold out longer, but not into the last week.
